 ASP Errors after host switching servers

Hi I'm running the older version of the forum and it's been working like a dream until my current hosting company decided to move it from one server to another yesterday morning.

I am currently getting this error.

and also getting new members/SPAM registering by the minute, I had disabled registration.

I contacted the hosting company about this and here is the response.

Essentially the code on line 9 of inc_page_counter.asp is trying to create an object MSWC.Pagecounter. "Set MyPageCounter = Server.CreateObject("MSWC.PageCounter")"

As you can see at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/249290, the Page Counter component is no longer officially supported by Microsoft.

It is most likely that you are using an out of date version of your forum software and will need to look at upgrading it or seek further support from its authors.


I am at a loss as to what to do PLEASE can anyone help

You should be able to turn off that section from loading.

Login in to Admin Options, then go to "Forum Features Configuration" and to "Login/Sitenews/Loading Configuration", scroll down the page and set "Show Site Statistics" to off.

See if that fixes the error.
